With the lockdown changing the way our summer looks here are some more artist for you to explore in my 5 Under 5k series.
Here are my picks for July’s 5 talented artist with less than five thousand Instagram followers you should definitely check out.
BELLAH
Insta: @ibehllah – 3.2K (July, 2020)
One of my favourite short projects from the lockdown period definitely goes to Bellah. Her tone soothes your ears and before you know it you’re deep in the North Londoner’s beautiful catalogue.
Under pinned by R&B melodies, Bellah glides effortlessly across instrumentals, also showcasing her amazing pen game! I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s behind a lot of hits in the future. Her recent EP ‘In The Meantime’ is a great entry point into the wonderful world of Bellah

DOTTY
Insta: @Dotty_LDN 3.7k (July, 2020)
When he raps, you have no choice but to listen. In my opinion Dotty is a very special talent. From his way with words, consistent flow and ability to paint pictures with lyrics, every now and again he reminds us why there is so much respect around his name.
The recent ‘Cadence’ freestyle on the new Guap series ‘lveMUSIC’ does just that, being rightly described as the Rap fan’s heaven. Forever called on for a verse, Dotty has leant his voice to many projects of the past couple of years (New Gen, Kenny Allstar, Jords, A2 and more) including his own project London X Living. I hope we get a new project soon.

LIÉT
Insta: @callmeliet 1.2k (July, 2020)
When it comes to singer song-writers East London has produced its fair share of quality. Adding perfectly to the list and, meet Liét! Spending time in the background writing songs and laying vocals for the likes of Hardy Caprio and Stefflon Don, as well as backing vocals for artists on The Voice and X Factor, Liét is far from new to the industry.
The release of her debut single ‘Bittersweet’ had me thinking why have you been hiding! There is certainly nothing bitter about her extremely sweet voice, joining a growing cohort of female RnB artist changing the game in the UK.
My favourite: Bittersweet
TAX
Insta: @still1ax 2.3k (July, 2020)
Bars for days! Tax is a versatile artist leaving his mark on 2020. Entering the game as a Grime MC the rapper built his following before a taking 7-year long hiatus. Making up for lost time, last year he launched his Instagram series Trill Tuesday, dropping a track a week for 26 weeks, picking up a lot of heat.
Hearing how he attacked his single ‘Shots’ was enough to have me hooked and the perfect tease for his mixtape Trill Season SZN 2. Displaying his versatility through the 12 tracks, Tax should certainly be on your playlist.
My favourite: Shots

PAXE
Insta: @paxemusic 3k (July, 2020)
Clarity and flows! Paxe (formerly known as Pins) caught the eye of many, being dubbed as a talented prospect to watch out for.
Receiving early co-signs from Dj Semtex, Paxe has put the work in steadily building a fanbase through releasing quality music. From supporting the likes of Mr Eazi to his own festival slots, the only way is up for South East London’s Paxe.
My favourite: No Pain
