International Afrobeats legend Starboy WizKid passed through the studio for a quick chat!
After growing up listening to WizKid, this was a great moment to have my first conversation with him.
We spoke about the early days of his career, growing up in the ghetto and his creative process to this day.
WizKid also touched on living in LA while working on his album and the reasons he eventually left. We spoke about the ups and downs of his career, highlighting the reasons he is very grateful to be here he is.
On other artists WizKid mentioned a few of his favourites both in Nigeria and the UK. He also let me know that he and Skepta have another serious track coming.
With new music dropping ahead of Starboy Fest at the London O2 arena, WizKid did not let me know when the new album is coming, but did say the music has to feel right before he releases it.
