Aitch On His Come Up, Getting Noticed In The Industry and Manchester Music Scene

Manchester’s very own Aitch came into Capital Xtra for his first time to talk about all things him!

We got into his musical origins, the recent burst of success and what he hopes to achieve in 2019.

Coming up in an environment where dubstep and garage were prevalent sounds, Aitch started rapping on these types of beats as seen in his early freestyles.

Heavily influenced by the grime scene, including Chip, an artist he admitted looked up he looked up to, Aitch developed his ‘skippy’ flow naturally before moving into more of a calmer tone.

In 2017 Aitch dropped his first project On Your Marks making lots of noise in his home city Manchester but it was his freestyles that that launched him into further circles.

Racking up over 6 million views on his own channel Straight Rhymes had the streets talking, creating a buzz around the ‘white boy’ from Manchester. His flow matured yet still slick and smooth many fans began to circulate the video including GRM Daily, a co-sign the rapper admits boasted his profile.

The rest of 2018 saw Aitch make more moves including being added to Kenny AllStar’s Tracksuit Love Remixa first GRM Daily Duppy and more of music on his own youtube channel consistently building his fan base.

After starting of the new year making many ‘Ones To Watch’ lists 2019 is definitely an exciting time for the young rapper to develop his craft. Watch the interview to listen to his plans for this year and the future past it.
