The young African hit maker Kida Kudz has steadily embedded himself in the UK music scene. In 2010 the Nigerian native won his country’s equivalent of Britians Got Talent, beating 8000 contestants to the Peak Talent 2 crown.

In the nines years following the talented rapper has worked with some of the hottest talent both in the UK and Africa with a feature list to leave your jaw dropped.

Names included the likes of Burna Boy, Olamide, Ice Prince, Reekado Banks, Geko, Diggy Simmons and Ms Banks to name a few.

Although his music dates back to 2014 it is in recent times mainstream audiences have become aware of Kida Kudz. Back in 2018 he released the relaxed and smooth ‘Issa Vibe’, a song that would later cause a little bit of controversy through no fault of his own. At a time when Afro Swing ruled everything the song soon caught on even leading to one of his dreams coming true.

Aside from the music on meeting Kida you know he takes something else very seriously, the gym! Being built like a house is definitely not easy and we spoke about his obsession with working out.

For his second single Kida Kudz linked up with fellow label mate Geko. Along a similar vane as his breakout song ‘Again‘ was another smooth base filled track with a heavy afrobeat influence.

Slowly but surely becoming a firm part of the UK music scene Kida joined Ms Banks on her popular hit ‘Snack‘. He said he felt that boys as well as girls can be snacks which inspired the hook on the song.

Kida Kudz has big dreams of creating his own empire. Through different ventures he hopes to leave a legacy stretching beyond his music, but he is very comfortable in the space he’s in. Jiggy Boys is the name he operates under or Jiggy Boys FC as some call it. His latest single ‘Jiggy Bop‘ is the current anthem for his team fully equipped with its own dance.
